Celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence of the United States.

About America 250

America250 is a nonpartisan initiative working to engage every American in commemorating the 250th anniversary of our country. This multi-year effort, from now through July 4, 2026, is an opportunity to pause and reflect on our nation’s past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look ahead toward the future we want to create for the next generation and beyond.

Across the country, Freemasons are planning unique and exciting ways to celebrate our nation’s history.

The Grand Lodge of New York is gearing up to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States’ founding in 2026. This celebration will highlight our state’s pivotal role in the nation’s fight for independence and its rich history over the past 250 years.

To mark this significant milestone, The Grand Lodge of New York is inviting visitors to our Lodges, Districts, and events to explore our shared past. These moments offer a chance for communities to experience New York’s Freemasons important contributions to the birth of America.

You can find a calendar of these commemorative events on this website, offering opportunities to engage with this important chapter in American history. To add your event, please click on the “Share York Event” icon at the top of this page!
